About this collection

Natural and plant-based cat litter uses materials such as tofu, soya, wood fibre and recycled plant ingredients instead of conventional mineral litter. This collection includes both clumping and non-clumping formulas, with different pellet sizes, scents, absorption levels and disposal instructions.

“Natural” does not mean every product performs in the same way. Tofu and soya litters may create scoopable clumps, while wood pellets can break down as they absorb moisture. Dust, tracking, scent and softness also vary, so compare the individual listings according to your cat’s preferences and your litter-box routine.

Choosing plant-based cat litter

Consider whether you prefer firm clumps or absorbent pellets, how often you can scoop, and whether the tray is used by one or several cats. Introduce a new texture gradually if your cat is cautious. Use the manufacturer’s recommended tray depth and disposal method.

Questions about this collection

Frequently Asked Questions

Is all plant-based litter flushable?

No. Flushability depends on the exact formula, packaging instructions and local plumbing rules. Even when permitted, only small amounts should be handled as directed.

Does natural cat litter control odour?

Many formulas include absorbent materials or odour-control features, but performance differs by product and maintenance routine. Daily scooping remains important.

Can kittens use plant-based litter?

Some plant-based products are designed for kittens, while others are not specifically labelled for them. Check the product age guidance and supervise early litter-box use.
