The Petstages Hunt ’n Snack Mat is an interactive slow feeder designed to turn dry food or treats into a foraging activity. Three obstacle areas encourage cats to search, paw and work around different textures, while a removable bowl adds another feeding zone.
Puzzle difficulty: Beginner (practical store classification)
The mat holds up to approximately half a cup of dry food according to the supplied information and is described as food safe and free from BPA, PVC and phthalates. Begin with visible rewards and an easy setup so your cat can learn the activity without becoming frustrated.
Using the Hunt ’n Snack Mat
Place the mat on a stable, non-slip surface and supervise the first sessions. Count all food used in the activity as part of the daily allowance. Remove crumbs after each use, hand wash the product according to the care instructions and dry it completely before storage. Discontinue use if the soft plastic tears, deforms or is persistently chewed.
Continue the operation
Use our complete puzzle-feeder guide to plan your cat’s progression. When this beginner mat becomes easy, introduce the Buggin’ Out Level 2 puzzle. Add suitably sized crunchy cat treats or dry food, or browse all puzzle feeders.
