The Catstages Nina Ottosson Rainy Day Puzzle & Play turns treats or dry food into a layered search activity. Cats paw at blue raindrops, move pegs and turn the central wheel to uncover rewards distributed across 19 hidden compartments.

Puzzle difficulty: Level 3 (advanced)

The varied movements create a more advanced challenge for cats that enjoy paw-based puzzles and food-searching games. Begin with several rewards uncovered and demonstrate one action at a time. A Level 3 puzzle may require repeated short sessions before a cat understands every mechanism, so progress should be gradual and rewarding.

Using the Rainy Day puzzle

Place it on a stable, non-slip surface and supervise initial use. Count the dry food or treats used in the activity as part of the daily allowance. Remove crumbs after every session and clean the puzzle according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Do not use wet food unless the product directions explicitly allow it, and remove the toy if any component becomes damaged or is persistently chewed.

Continue the operation

Read our complete puzzle-feeder guide before assigning Level 3. Cats that need an intermediate challenge can step back to the Buggin’ Out Level 2 puzzle. Use suitably sized crunchy cat treats or dry food, or browse every puzzle option.

A note from management

A low-pressure system moved across the feeding zone.

Nineteen compartments went quiet. The wheel turned. Several treats were reported missing.

Tony checked the forecast. No rain was listed. Which means someone staged this.
