The Rosewood Guillotine Nail Clipper is a pet claw-trimming tool with a guillotine-style cutting mechanism and ergonomic grip. It is intended for routine maintenance of suitable cat and dog claws when the handler can clearly identify the transparent nail tip and avoid the sensitive quick.

Regular trimming can reduce sharp points and overgrowth, but claw colour and anatomy differ between animals. Dark, split, infected or painful nails should not be cut without professional guidance. An anxious or struggling pet can move suddenly, increasing the risk of cutting too far.

How to use the nail clipper

Introduce the tool gradually and handle one paw at a time in good light. Position only the clear tip inside the cutting opening and remove a small amount. Keep styptic powder available and stop if the pet becomes distressed. Clean the blade after use, store the clipper dry and replace it if the cutting mechanism becomes blunt, loose or damaged. Ask a veterinarian or groomer for a demonstration when uncertain.
