There are days when The Crown cannot be bathed.

Not because bathing is impossible.

Because Management enjoys having skin.

A situation may still develop.

A coat becomes suspicious.
A room changes tone.
Someone says, "What is that smell?" and immediately regrets entering the investigation.

PURL Freshness Spray was introduced for these incidents.

A light mist.
A brush.
A controlled attempt to restore dignity without opening formal bath proceedings.

The Crown does not approve of sprays.
The Crown does not approve of brushes.
The Crown does not approve of being described as "fresh."

Still.

The coat is conditioned.
The odour file is reduced.
The witness pool becomes less emotional.

Available in scent operations. Current file: Original Baby Powder.

Management applies carefully. The Crown files objections silently, loudly, and with one shoulder turned away.

Tony inspected the scene afterwards.

No bathwater.
No towel chase.
No obvious source of the smell.

The Clean Alibi holds.

For now.
