The knot was discovered behind the left ear.

Management approached calmly.

The Crown did not.

There was a brush.
There was a look.
There was a low administrative sound from somewhere deep in the regime.

Negotiations failed.

PURL Advanced De-Tangling Shampoo was introduced as a softer form of intervention.

Warm water.
A proper lather.
Conditioning actives.
The quiet dismantling of a fur-based conspiracy.

The Crown maintains the tangle was structural.
Possibly architectural.
Certainly none of our business.

Management disagrees.

The coat was washed.
The knot was weakened.
The towel was judged.

Tony reviewed the bathroom afterwards.

Water on the floor.
Hair in the drain.
No confession.

The Velvet Release has been filed under: necessary, suspicious, effective.
