The Pawise Shredder is a corrugated cardboard scratcher and lounge that provides indoor cats with a dedicated place to scratch, stretch, rest, and maintain claws. Catnip is included to encourage investigation and help redirect normal scratching behaviour away from furniture.

The rectangular surface is suitable for cats that prefer horizontal scratching and can also be used as a simple lounging pad. Place it close to an existing scratching location rather than hiding it in an unused room. Catnip response varies, and the cardboard texture can remain appealing even when the scent has little effect.

Use and maintenance

Set the scratcher on a flat, dry floor and prevent it from sliding during use. Remove loose cardboard pieces and replace the product once wear affects its shape or stability. Do not use it in damp areas, and supervise cats that chew and swallow cardboard. Offer additional vertical or angled scratchers when one horizontal surface does not meet the cat’s preferences.

A note from management

Official product category: cat scratcher.

Operational category?The Shredder.

Not every problem in the organisation disappears cleanly.

Sometimes it gets clawed apart slowly in the hallway while a heavily "parsley"-influenced operative makes direct eye contact with nobody in particular.

The Shredder was installed after several “internal disputes” involving:

  • one couch
  • two curtains
  • a servant’s ankle
  • and an incident now referred to only as Tuesday

The reinforced cardboard surface allows associates to sharpen claws, process emotions, and dismantle evidence at their own pace.

A sealed packet of premium parsley is included for morale purposes.

After activation, users may experience:

  • intense commitment to destruction
  • sudden architectural criticism
  • aggressive cardboard auditing
  • side-hopping behaviour
  • temporary allegiance to ceiling ghosts
  • unexplained confidence

His High-ness uses The Shredder between meals and extortion rounds.

Tony uses it differently.Nobody asks how.
