Introduction

Nature’s Miracle Advanced Platinum Cat Scratch Deterrent is a 236ml indoor training spray formulated to help discourage destructive scratching on compatible household surfaces. Scratching is a normal feline behaviour, so the aim is not to stop scratching altogether. Instead, the spray can help make a restricted surface less appealing while you redirect the cat towards an appropriate scratching post or board nearby.

Key features

  • 236ml spray bottle for targeted indoor use.
  • Repellent scent formulated with essential oils.
  • Designed to help discourage destructive scratching.
  • Suitable for compatible furniture, fabric and other household surfaces when used as directed.
  • Easy spray application.
  • Positioned by Nature’s Miracle as a cruelty-free training aid.

How to use

Shake well before use. Do not apply directly to animals. Before treating fabrics, test for colourfastness on a hidden area. Apply three sprays per square foot to the areas you want to discourage the cat from scratching. Reapply daily or as needed until the unwanted habit is broken. Praise and reward the cat when positive scratching behaviour is shown.

Suitable for

Indoor behaviour-redirection plans where a cat repeatedly scratches a compatible household surface and an appropriate scratcher is available nearby.

Not suitable for

Do not spray directly onto cats, food areas or a scratching post you want the cat to use. Do not use on surfaces that fail a hidden colourfastness test.

A note from management

Codename: The House Rules

The sofa was not attacked.

That distinction is important.

Management understands there was merely an energetic disagreement involving one armrest, several claws and a witness who has since become reluctant to discuss upholstery.

Nevertheless, rules had to be introduced.

Certain surfaces were placed under protection.

Alternative scratching facilities were made available nearby.

The Crown inspected the new arrangement personally.

He sniffed the restricted area.

Looked at Management.

Looked back at the sofa.

Then walked slowly towards the approved scratcher with the expression of a man complying with a court order he intends to appeal.

The furniture remains nervous.

The House Rules remain in force.

Materials & care

Active ingredients:
- Sodium Lauryl Sulfate 2.000%
- Rosemary Oil 0.500%
- Cinnamon Oil 0.330%
- Citronella Oil 0.200%
- Cornmint Oil 0.125%

Inert ingredients (96.845%): Water, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate and Xanthan Gum.

Total: 100.000%.

Size & placement

  • Pack size: 236ml
  • Place treatment on the restricted compatible surface.
  • Position an appealing scratching post or board close to the problem area.
  • Choose a scratcher tall or long enough for a full-body stretch and stable enough not to wobble.

Scratching & enrichment benefits

Scratching is necessary feline behaviour rather than misconduct. Use the deterrent to redirect activity from a restricted surface, then reward use of the approved scratcher. Provide both vertical and horizontal options if the cat’s preference is uncertain.

Stability & safety notes

  • Do not apply directly to pets.
  • Use only on label-approved household surfaces.
  • Test an inconspicuous area before use.
  • Keep away from eyes, food and water bowls.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets when stored.
  • Do not use punishment or remove all appropriate scratching outlets.
