The LickiMat Classic Kitty is a compact slow feeder designed for kittens and smaller cats. Its approximately 10 × 10cm surface combines textured licking areas with a small hydration well, turning measured wet food, kitten food, treats or cat-safe liquids into a longer enrichment activity.

The low, whisker-friendly shape allows a kitten to approach food without reaching into a deep bowl. It can be used with soft food, spreads, broth and compatible supplements, but every ingredient must be appropriate for the kitten’s age and complete feeding plan. Yogurt should be offered only when it is plain, cat safe and tolerated.

Using the LickiMat Kitty

Place the mat on a stable surface and spread a small portion thinly across the texture. Supervise every session and remove it if the kitten chews or damages the material. The product is described as freezer safe and microwave friendly; follow the current temperature and cleaning instructions. Wash every groove and the hydration well thoroughly after use and dry the mat before storage.

FAQ

What makes the Kitty different from the Catster?

The Kitty is designed specifically for kittens and smaller cats. It features the same enrichment principles as the Catster but in a smaller 10 × 10 cm format that is easier for young cats to use comfortably.

What can I put on a LickiMat Kitty?

Wet food, kitten food, raw food, pâté, Churu, yogurt, purees, bone broth, cat cream, liquid treats, supplements, and small amounts of dry food.

Is the hydration well only for water?

No. The hydration well is ideal for bone broth, cat milk, cat cream, liquid treats, supplements, or other cat-safe liquids.

Can I freeze food on the mat?

Yes. Freezing food or treats can make enrichment sessions last longer and provide additional mental stimulation.

Does a LickiMat help with fast eating?

Yes. The textured surface slows down feeding by encouraging licking and food extraction rather than gulping.

Does licking help calm cats?

Licking promotes the release of calming endorphins and can help reduce stress during thunderstorms, fireworks, vet visits, recovery periods, or time spent alone.
