A note from management

A Note from Management

Codename: Velvet Relief

The first sign was silence.

Not peace. Not innocence. Silence.

Then came the slow walk down the passage, the fixed stare, and the kind of household tension usually reserved for unpaid debts and missing witnesses.

The Dispensary was notified.

Velvet Relief has been cleared for delicate internal negotiations: a malt-based gel for hairball incidents, digestive stand-offs, and other matters Management prefers not to find on the carpet at dawn.

Administer calmly. Measure precisely. Do not dramatise the evidence.

The Crown will deny discomfort.

The rug will remember everything.

Tony has already moved the file downstairs.
