The Pomfather is a handheld, spring-loaded plush-ball launcher supplied with 20 colourful pom-poms. It sends lightweight balls across a clear indoor play area for cats to stalk, chase, jump and pounce on during interactive sessions with a human handler.

The quiet mechanical design does not require an electronic motor. Load and launch only according to the product instructions, using the supplied compatible balls. Short launches along the floor are generally safer and easier for a cat to track than high shots that encourage uncontrolled jumping near furniture or windows.

Play and safety

Never aim the launcher at a person, animal, window or breakable object. Check the mechanism and every pom-pom before use, and discard balls that tear, flatten or expose loose fibres. Cats that dismantle and swallow plush material should not have access to the balls without close supervision. Count all 20 balls after play where possible and store the launcher and ammunition securely away from children and pets.

A note from management

Behind the drapes, The Pomfather waits in silence.

Twenty plush rounds. Soft. Colourful. Entirely untraceable.

Load the chamber. Aim past the sofa barricade. Fire.

No noise. No witnesses. Just one cat moving through the living room like the Family has issued a deadline.

The Pomfather does not entertain.

He controls the room.

She gets a fright when I shoot them, but she catches them when I throw them.

Louise

The launcher has been noted.

The operative has elected to ignore it.

This is a perfectly normal feline negotiating tactic.
