Before choosing the kit

Clean the urine source first. Use each product only where its label and the surface-care instructions allow. Sofa suitability depends on the fabric and construction; this is not an all-fabric solution.

This kit supports household cleanup and the home environment. It does not diagnose or treat urinary problems.

Use and safety

Check the cat first

Straining, repeated attempts to urinate, or little or no urine need immediate veterinary attention. New or recurring accidents also need a veterinary check. Do not wait for a cleaner or diffuser to help, and avoid punishment.

Check the sofa and locate the source

Read the furniture-care instructions before wetting any cover, backing or filling. For unknown, dry-clean-only or delicate upholstery, ask the sofa maker or an upholstery professional first. Use the UV spotter to locate areas to inspect, following its instructions and keeping its beam away from eyes.

Clean with the stain-and-odour remover

Blot fresh urine; avoid rubbing it into the fabric. Test a hidden area using the bottle’s directions and stop if colour transfers or the surface changes. Follow the supplied label’s separate stain or odour treatment, contact time and drying instructions. Keep people and pets away until fully dry and follow any stricter label directions. Use the brush only on surfaces that permit it. Do not mix products.

Consider the deterrent separately

Advanced Platinum No More Spraying is an indoor deterrent for a cleaned, compatible spot you want your cat to avoid. Finish cleaning and allow the area to dry before considering it. Patch-test separately, then follow its own application directions. Never spray an animal. Avoid applying a deterrent to the cat’s intended litter, feeding or resting areas.

Support the home

Set up the FELIWAY Classic starter according to the local leaflet, in a suitable wall socket where your cat spends time. Leave it on continuously; do not obstruct it with furniture or curtains, or use an adaptor, extension lead or multiplug. It cannot clean urine. Place the intact charcoal bag where pets cannot chew it; it does not replace removing the source.

The sofa has retained counsel.

Counsel is an ottoman. No qualifications, but it matches the upholstery and knows where the spare keys are.

Can I use it on my sofa?

Only if both the cleaner label and the sofa maker permit it. Do not assume all upholstery is washable. Avoid leather, suede, silk, untreated wood and speciality fabrics for the stain-and-odour remover unless the actual supplied label explicitly permits the material. A passed surface test does not confirm that foam, backing, glue or hidden layers can be soaked. Ask an upholstery professional if urine has reached layers you cannot safely clean.

Do the two sprays do the same job?

No. Use Cat Stain & Odour Remover to clean the urine source. Advanced Platinum No More Spraying is a separate deterrent considered after cleaning; it is not the enzyme-cleaning step.

Does the kit stop urinary accidents?

No guarantee is made. Pain, illness, litter-tray access and household stress can all contribute. Veterinary investigation and changes to the home may be needed. Straining or little/no urine require immediate veterinary attention.

What does the charcoal bag do?

It is a supporting household odour accessory. It cannot remove urine from upholstery or disinfect a surface. Keep it intact and out of chewing reach.

Is an extra FELIWAY refill included?

The starter set includes one 48ml refill for its diffuser. There is no second refill in this kit.

Is the guide included?

Yes. Each kit includes one printed copy of the three-page Incident Report, covering cleanup, household checks, diffuser setup and an incident log.

Can I change the contents?

This is a fixed bundle containing the quantities listed above. Availability depends on all tracked components being in stock.

Are batteries included?

The Simple Solution UV Spot Spotter requires three AAA batteries, which are not included.
