Introduction
Bravecto Spot-On for Cats is a topical fluralaner treatment that provides three months of protection against fleas and ticks from one correctly selected dose. The range is divided by bodyweight: Small for cats weighing 1.2–2.8kg, Medium for cats over 2.8–6.25kg and Large for cats over 6.25–12.5kg. It is applied directly to the skin where the cat cannot easily lick it. Cats up to 6.25kg receive the dose in one spot; cats over 6.25kg require two application spots according to the South African product information. Correct weighing and strict adherence to the package insert are essential.
Key Benefits
- One dose provides three months of flea and tick protection.
- Three weight-specific variants support accurate dosing.
- Topical application avoids oral dosing.
- Official information also covers treatment of ear mites.
- Does not wash off after correct application and drying.
