The AFP Whisker Fiesta Avocado is a bright, textured cat toy designed for batting, carrying, pouncing and bunny-kicking. At approximately 23 × 8 × 3.5cm, its elongated avocado shape gives cats room to grip with both front paws. Faux raffia, printed textile, soft filling, feathers and catnip create a layered mix of texture, movement and scent.

Why cats like it

The tasselled surface and feather detail shift as the toy is batted, while the lightweight body is easy to carry or pin. Slide it beside a tunnel for an ambush, toss it a short distance for a chase, or let your cat investigate it at their own pace. Cats that respond to catnip may rub, roll or hold the avocado; others may be more interested in the fluttering feather and contrasting textures.

Good to know

This is a supervised enrichment toy rather than a chew product. Check the seams, raffia strands and feather attachment before each session, and remove it if any component becomes loose. Store it between playtimes to protect the feather detail and preserve novelty. Catnip response varies from cat to cat.

A note from management

The paperwork says avocado.

Management says The Mexican.

He arrived green, unannounced and entirely too comfortable for someone with no visible means of employment.

Within minutes, he had established a position beneath the dining-room table and attracted the personal attention of the Crown.

Nobody knows what he is carrying.

Nobody has asked.

The Mexican does not run. He rolls slightly to one side and allows everyone else to make poor decisions around him.

Tony says he is harmless.

Tony also says it is definitely not guacamole.
