The AFP Knotty Habit Yarn Caterpillar is a soft, textured catnip toy with a long segmented shape designed for grabbing, carrying, pouncing and bunny-kicking. Several rounded sections give cats easy grip points, while the lightweight construction allows the toy to be moved around the home during supervised play.

The elongated shape can suit cats that prefer a larger prey-style toy rather than a small ball. Place it on the floor for an ambush, slide it gently away to encourage pursuit, or allow your cat to hold it between the front paws and kick with the back feet. Catnip may increase interest for responsive cats, although sensitivity varies and some cats show no reaction.

Play and safety

Check the yarn, seams and attachments before every use. Remove the caterpillar if strands loosen, stuffing becomes visible or any component is damaged. It is not suitable for unattended use by cats that shred fabric or swallow fibres. Store it securely between sessions and rotate it with other toys to help maintain novelty.

A note from management

The Accomplice was found at the scene.

Long, brightly dressed and displaying no visible concern, it was discovered beneath the dining table shortly after midnight with several loose fibres, one damaged curtain and the Crown sitting nearby in complete silence.

No statement was provided.

The Accomplice has since been dragged through the passage, kicked down the stairs and repeatedly seized around the middle during what management has described as ‘routine questioning’.

It continues to cooperate.

Its soft yarn body makes it easy to carry between locations. Its segmented shape permits several secure points of contact. This has proved useful during ambushes, private interrogations and sudden investigations behind the sofa.

Catnip was later discovered inside.

Management considers this highly relevant.

The Crown denies knowing the Accomplice socially. Surveillance footage shows them together on twelve separate occasions.

The footage is no longer available.

No charges have been filed.

The Accomplice remains close to the family.
