The AFP Furry Ball Fluffy Bird Wand turns a short play session into a moving hunt. Its red bird target combines colourful fluffy plush, ribbons, a bell and catnip, while the wand lets you guide the action without putting fingers near quick paws. The complete toy measures approximately 42.5 × 8 × 2.5cm.

Why cats like it

Flutter the bird close to the floor, pause behind a chair leg, then let it dart into view. The soft target, trailing ribbons and bell provide a mix of texture, motion and sound that can encourage watching, stalking and pouncing. Keep the pace varied and offer frequent catches rather than holding the toy permanently out of reach. Cats that respond to catnip may also rub or hold the target after the chase.

Good to know

This is an interactive toy for supervised play. Use controlled, low movements in a clear space and avoid swinging it near faces or breakable objects. Check the wand, attachment point, ribbons, bell and seams before every session. Remove the toy if anything loosens, and store it securely when play is finished.

A note from management

The Canary was brought in to sing.

Instead, it went quiet.

Suspiciously quiet.

It now spends its days dangling at the end of a line, covered in fluff and listening to conversations that do not concern it.

Every so often, it makes a break for the curtains.

The Crown responds immediately.

Management has recovered feathers from beneath the couch, beside the food bowls and inside one shoe that had been considered secure.

The Canary still refuses to identify its handler.

It knows what happens to birds that talk.
