The AFP Cat Socks Mouse Cuddler is a soft mouse-shaped cat toy designed for carrying, cuddling, pouncing and bunny-kicking. Its lightweight sock-style body is easy for cats to grip, while concealed catnip adds scent-led interest for cats that respond to it.

The flexible shape works well for cats that prefer prey-style toys they can move around the home rather than rigid balls or electronic toys. Toss it across a clear floor to begin a chase, place it near an approved scratching area, or allow your cat to carry it to a favourite resting place. Catnip response varies, so a cat that shows little interest is not necessarily rejecting the toy.

Play and safety

Use the mouse during supervised indoor play and inspect the fabric, seams and filling regularly. Remove it if the material tears, stuffing becomes exposed or loose fibres appear. The toy is not intended for cats that aggressively destroy and swallow fabric components. Rotate it with other toys and store it securely between sessions to help maintain novelty.

A note from management

Every respectable household has a mouse.

Ours has clearance.

The House Mouse moves quietly between rooms, sleeps beneath furniture and appears beside the Crown whenever something has gone missing.

Management initially treated this as coincidence.

That position became difficult to maintain after the mouse was found in the bed, behind the curtains and stationed beside the food cabinet during restricted hours.

Its soft sock body makes it suitable for carrying, cuddling, kicking and leaving directly in the path of barefoot staff before sunrise.

The Crown calls this redeployment.

There are credible reports of catnip concealed inside.

The mouse has declined to comment.

Repeated questioning has failed to establish where it came from, why it keeps returning or what happened to the matching sock.

It has now been granted permanent residence.

The House Mouse knows the rooms.

It knows the routes.

It knows where the bodies are kept.

They are mostly toy mice.

Mostly.
