The correct scoop depends on the litter texture and granule size. Slots that are too wide may discard clean litter, while very narrow openings can slow sifting. Use a dedicated litter scoop, keep it away from food-preparation areas and wash it regularly according to the material’s care instructions.

Using a Moderna litter scoop

Scoop each tray at least daily, working gently through the litter rather than crushing clumps into smaller pieces. Remove waste into an appropriate bag or bin and follow the litter manufacturer’s disposal directions. Top up the tray to the recommended depth and complete regular full changes instead of relying on scooping alone.
